Due to company growth we currently have a newly created opportunity within our Hobart branch for an experienced Account Manager to join the team.

The role reports to the Branch Manager, it is full time and involves an established territory of clients, with a primary focus on existing customer retention.  This role will also assist our Launceston branch intermittently, including travel as required.

Key Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Contribute to the maintenance of our existing customer base and its subsequent growth
  • Work in close consultation with the Sales Team to receive retention leads and pass on new business leads
  • Action and convert retention leads in an efficient and effective manner
  • Existing customer visits for contract resigns
  • Work closely with the State Sales Manager and Branch Managers to proactively identify an areas of risk and devise retentions strategies
  • Seize opportunities with existing or previous customers to upsell new products or product sizes to the account
  • Monitor the 15kg utilisation report to identify over stocked existing customers who require a review
  • Meet with identified customers in person
  • Monitor region dehires report and internal communications to identify at risk customers and act accordingly

The ideal candidate will ideally have around two years experience in a similar sales / retention role, gas industry experience an advantage.  Candidates will have a passion for customer service.  Excellent communication is a key skill to the role, both written and verbal, the ability to make a positive impression and exude confidence, develop a rapport with the audience and illicit the desired outcomes.  Candidates should be flexible and adaptable to handle high pressure situations, cope with rejection and learn from mistakes, accompanied by a high level of resilience.  It is also critical that candidates possess excellent time management skills, are well organised and are natural planners.  Most importantly at Supagas we value attitude above all else, we are looking for the next team player to live the 'yes we can' ethos!
