The Role 

Managing the Government and Education sales team, you will provide strategic leadership, operational management and drive sales transformation to build a best practice function that will improve profitability and increase sales revenue within the Government and Education portfolio. With a focus on sales and enablement, you will oversee sales processes, drive team performance, ensure KPI's are implemented and managed and ensure the product range is aligned to meet customer expectations.

 

Some key responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead a high performing team
  • Create short and long-term strategies to ensure the sales team retain and expand market share
  • Ensure market trends are managed to optimise opportunities within Government and Education accounts.
  • Implement efficient sales management strategies and usage of CRM
  • Manage team recruitment, training and development
  • Improve prospect to order processes
  • Attend customer meetings to assist in the winning and closure of new business opportunities
  • Guide, coach and mentor the sales team

The Person 

You will need be an accomplished sales leader who inspires and motivates others to achieve. You will have an excellent understanding of sales lifecycles in a Government or Education based environment, well developed commercial acumen, a proven track record of delivering sales results and demonstrated experience in a complex solutions sales environment.

 

You will have:

  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience leading and managing high performing sales teams
  • Demonstrated change management skills
  • The ability to build collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Previous experience driving continuous improvement in sales processes
  • Strong solutions selling experience, preferably in print industry
  • MBA qualified or equivalent degree (preferred but not essential).
  • An understanding of Queensland government departments or the Education landscape within Queensland will be held in high regard
