About the business and the role

We are a family owned pool construction company building pools across the Brisbane region. Our business deals with all aspects of pool construction, renovation, and cleaning. 

Due to widening demand for our pools, we are seeking a Sales and Design Consultant to join our team. This position is responsible for running assigned appointments and meeting with potential customers to accomplish the ultimate objective of successfully closing a sale; generating positive profitability; and exceeding customer expectations.

Job tasks and responsibilities

This role is commission based role, which means you will be required to be self motivated in following up on assigned leads and closing as many sales as you can through exceptional negotiation and customer service skills.

You will be required to meet with potential clients, help inspire them through various design options, draw their designs, draft and complete legal contracts of engagement, and lease with the pool construction supervisor when handing over a successful lead to the business.

We provide a rewarding commission to leads that we provide you with and you successfully close. Further to this we are offering an even higher amount of commission to leads you source and close yourself. You will have the ability to work the hours you choose as required to close a lead. 

Skills and experience

  • Three or more years of work experience construction/sales (preferred)
  • Knowledge and ability Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook.
  • Customer service orientated
  • Sales driven and motivated
  • Must be committed and willing to put in the necessary time to be successful
  • Able to work nights and weekends and occasionally holidays as you deem necessary in closing a lead.
  • Works well under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - both written and spoken
  • Strong negotiating skills to persuade and influence others
  • Participates and works well in a team-based environment
  • Excellent organization and follow-up skills
  • Must feel comfortable being compensated under a 100% commission pay structure
  • Positive and outgoing personality
  • Valid State Drivers' License
  • Ability to travel on an ongoing basis to clients
