The Eastern Region Sales Manager, is the critical link between Duratray and its clients in Brisbane, Mackay, Hunter Valley and PNG. This role is responsible for building the relationship with our clients, identifying opportunities and strategies that will maximize value and build a long-term partnership.

 

This role plays a crucial part in managing the allocated clients’ accounts and achieve Sales targets. This will be achieved by establishing close relationships with our existing customers, along with sourcing and developing new business and market opportunities. As well as this the main responsibilities will include;
 

Initiating, developing and assisting in preparation of quotations, tenders, proposals and business opportunities.         ·

Providing technical support to clients relating to use, operation, and maintenance of equipment.         ·

Facilitating and assisting with sales or service contracts for products or services.         ·

Providing or facilitating technical training to employees of client where required.         ·

Delivering sales presentations to key clients.         ·

Develops and submits quotations for new and aftermarket spares and including services.         ·

Keep statistics of our fleets including operating hours, maintenance status, payload information, etc.         ·

Post-sale tasks such as managing warranty, complaints, etc         ·

Assists the COO with trade association meetings to promote products and services.         ·

Assist the Operations Manager with local project management tasks, such as carrying out inspections at workshops, relationship with suppliers, provide technical support during commissioning, etc          ·

 

Experience & Skills Required For This Role
 

4+ years’ experience in the mining sector

4+ years’ experience within an account management, sales, project or product management role with a heavy focus on customer interaction and strategy execution.         ·

University degree, preferably in Engineering         ·

Prior experience in establishing alliances and partnerships, building a client base, achieving sales goals and fostering internal & cross-functional relationships.         ·

Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills combined with proven experience with contract negotiation, risk mitigation and dispute resolution.         ·

Proven track record in achieving sales targets.         ·

Basic understanding of accounting procedures including profit and loss, budgets and gross margins.         ·

Must have current motor vehicle license and passport.         ·

Must be able to travel as required.         ·

Must be permanent resident or citizen         ·
