A steel importer in NSW is seeking a Business Development Executive where you will be responsible for overall process of sales activities. The ideal candidate will have experience in sales and is flexible, self-motivated and be able to communicate confidently with customers and suppliers.
The key responsibilities and duties:
- Involve in business development activities including researching, prospecting, and qualifying new clients
- Maintain good relationships with existing clients and develop relationships with new client base
- Liaise with internal departments to provide all client enquiries including product specifications and pricing
- Prepare proposals, quotations and tender responses
- Provide reports and forecasting to the management
- Work closely and liaise with external stakeholders
- Other ad-hoc duties
In order to be considered for this role you will have the following key attributes, skills and strengths:
- Previous experience as a sales or business development in a steel industry
- Strong communication and negotiation skills to develop and build customer relationships
- A self-motivated, result and detail orientated individual, passionate about winning new business
- The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment
- Must have a driver’s license
