BrightEdge is seeking a Manager to develop, lead and manage our Sales Development team in Sydney. This is an incredible opportunity to build, support and scale our Australia office by leading a team of 5 to 10 Sales Development Representatives (SDR) who are dedicated to calling into potential customers, qualifying leads, and setting up prospective client meetings for our Senior Sales Team.
Responsibilities:
- Deep understanding of our platform, SEO and organic marketing strategies
- Leverage existing in-depth knowledge of the BrightEdge technology, platform, industry trends, and competition
- Responsible for ongoing development of the Sales Development Representative Team which includes mentorship and training
- Leverage existing in-depth knowledge of the BrightEdge technology, platform, industry trends, and competition
- Train and certify new employees as they come through the development pipeline in alignment with BrightEdge playbook
- Work with the BrightEdge Recruiting and HR team to hire qualified candidates for the SDR team
- Manage a team of entry-level and experienced outbound sales reps responsible for prospecting, qualifying, and sourcing new clients to Account Executives
- Conduct daily activity review meetings and coaching to direct reports
- Report on team activity and forecast to senior sales management
- Monitor activity of the team and track results on a daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis
- Partner with Account Executive management team to drive overall region success.
- Maintain high morale while still pushing for high performance: creative incentives/awards, run contests, plan team bonding events, etc.
- Complete advanced BrightEdge sales and SEO certifications
- Empower and assist leading regional companies with SEO technology
Required Experience:
- Applicants must have a minimum skill level for the position of a tertiary qualification plus 2 years of relevant post-qualification work experience or alternatively, at least 5 years of relevant work experience plus an additional 2 years of relevant work experience
- 2 - 7 years’ of inside sales management experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience selling in a SaaS/Software environment
- Sales training, pre-call planning, BrightEdge SEO certification and salesforce.com software experience is required
- Proven record of success in a high volume transactional sales environment
