We are GROWING! Due to our continued growth and sales FOCUS we currently have an opportunity within our Somerton branch for an experienced Business Development Manager to join the team.
The role reports to the Somerton Branch Manager, it is full time and includes an established territory of clients with excellent opportunities for sales growth.
Key Responsibilities of the Role:
Sales Activity & Client Development:
- Develop and implement a territory sales cycle plan
- Effectively present and promote Supagas, its many products and services, to existing and potential clients
- New business development within the territory
- Actively meet Supagas required monthly cold call and existing customer call requirements
Client Management:
- Develop and implement a territory management and customer support plan, prioritising high levels of customer service and problem resolution
- Work closely with the Customer Service Officer's to ensure customers are serviced effectively and queries are followed up promptly
Branch Operations & New Installation:
- Provide delivery support backup to local sales centre as required
- Ensure all new cylinder and bulk installations are in compliance with all relevant company policies and procedures
- Provide technical sales support to internal staff and external customers
- Assist with debt collection as requested
Teamwork & Relationships:
- Maintain regular communication with Sales Manager, including link-ups
- Attend and participate in monthly Branch Toolbox Meetings
- Attend and actively participate in monthly sales meetings
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years experience in a similar sales role, gas industry experience an advantage. Candidates will have a passion for sales, including designing call cycles, managing a territory and exploring and exploiting new business opportunities. Excellent communication is a key skill to the role, both written and verbal, the ability to make a positive impression and exude confidence, develop a rapport with the audience and illicit the desired outcomes. Candidates should be flexible and adaptable to handle high pressure and stressful situations, cope with rejection and learn from mistakes, accompanied by a high level of resilience. It is also critical that candidates possess excellent time management skills, are well organised and are natural planners.
