Border Express, a progressive and dynamic leader within the Transport Industry, currently has a fantastic opportunity available within the Newcastle/Central Coast Commercial team for an Account Management professional to manage a portfolio of accounts.
This position has been created due to considerable growth within the region ,resulting in the current construction of a purpose built greenfield facility in Tuggerah, complementing our existing Newcastle facility located in Cameron Park.
You will need to present professionally, have passion & enthusiasm, self-motivation, and a touch of personality to secure this role. Great presentation and communication skills are essential, as well as a dedication to driving the Company forward while generating new business from the existing portfolio.
To succeed in this position, you will need to demonstrate :
- Evidence of building and maintaining strong relationships with customers;
- Strong organisation and planning skills;
- Previous Customer Service/Sales experience;
- Proven track record of strong contract and rate negotiations;
- Good people skills and an ability to communicate on all levels;
- Knowledge of and/or experience in the Transport, Logistics or Service industries;
- Proficient in the use of Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
- Demonstrated high level capacity in relationship management with diverse and challenging groups, including the ability to influence and communicate to achieve results;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a “flair” for creativity;
- Attention to detail;
- Current motor vehicle licence;
- Experience and knowledge of the “Express Freight “ industry will be favourable.
This role can be based at either the Newcastle or Central Coast branch but will require travelling through both of these areas.
