About the Role and what you can expect
  
Employed by Laureate Education Services Australia Pty Ltd to support primarily the operational functions of the hospitality vertical within TUA (that incorporates Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School at Torrens University and William Blue College of Hospitality Management at Torrens University) as well as other international onshore student recruitment in Melbourne. The Business Development Co-ordinator (onshore recruitment, based in Melbourne) will implement and support a strategic international marketing and sales plan for primarily hospitality  but also other programs, and will play a pivotal role in leading and delivering international sales targets in his/her state and region/s.

The Business Development Co-ordinator will also work within the international team and ancillary services (e.g. admissions) along with other Laureate partnership institutions and entities in order to best leverage joint international recruitment efforts.

This role is key in establishing, maintaining and monitoring a quality agent network of partners onshore ensuring that Torrens University Australia maintains its Streamlined Visa Processing arrangements by recruiting students who fall within the established Genuine Temporary Entrant parameters as outlined by relevant governmental legislation.
  
This position operates in a high volume, high pressure and target driven environment that focuses on meeting expected revenue numbers. You may be required to work outside of normal working hours to attend events or meet required deadlines. Some travel may be required
  
Key Responsibilities:
  • Sales Management
    • Own and deliver the onshore enrolment sales targets
    • Manage collaboratively individual region and vertical specific sales targets with team members as appropriate
    • Accurately forecast sales results, working closely with the Regional Manager, Hospitality and other Area Managers
    • Drive sales programs and processes to increase sales conversion for the international market segment
    • Focus on conversion of pipeline from enquiry to enrolment
  • Account Management
    • o Management and coordination of education partners, and the establishment and maintenance of agreement and incentive arrangements, as needed and in conjunction with team
    • o Contribution to the agent marketing program- including marketing to and with agents
    • o Responsibility for the compliance aspects of agent management
    • o High level stakeholder engagement with regional and state based agents
    • o Problem solving with any student or pastoral care issues where needed
    • o Regular interaction and support of international partnerships, as required – pre and post enrolment support
  • Marketing
    • o Contribution to the development and implementation of the strategic marketing and recruitment plan for onshore international students for hospitality and other programs
    • o Evaluation of international market opportunities for Laureate's product portfolio
    • o Be the expert for the state and regional international student market, ensuring Laureate maximises opportunities for revenue growth in the segment for all programs
    • o Contribution to the development and execution of international marketing campaigns, working closely with the Laureate brand marketing teams, domestic sales team, and Laureate counterparts
    • o Adherence to and monitoring of budgets and scholarships
  • Compliance
    • Sales reporting
    • Financial reporting
    • Ensure at all times, students recruited via agents or direct are genuine and are not an GTE risk
Desired Skills and Experience
Skills, Knowledge and Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in sales/marketing/customer service roles, preferably in international environment
  • Experience in developing and implementing marketing/sales plans
  • Partnership management experience
  • Business and/or marketing qualifications
  • Ability to think creatively and bring innovation to Laureate Australia
  • Cross Cultural awareness
