About the team

You will be part of the group wide Business Development function across Australia and New Zealand, designed to optimise opportunities for Kennards Hire and make our customers job easy and creating raving fans, by providing them with the solutions they need, when and where they need them.

Kennards Hire is seeking a mature, results driven BDM with a proven track record, to join the family. Reporting to the State Business Development Manager, you will be based in the Support office located in Seven Hills and managing the NSW Metro area with occasional regional travel.

About you..

You will be a highly motivated and target focused sales professional with the drive and passion to successfully identify, negotiate and win business opportunities. Specifically, you will have;

  • Strong communication skills and an exceptional ability to develop long term relationships
  • Proven track record in building rapport with high level stakeholders
  • A hunter who is confident, enthusiastic and has a proven track record of smashing targets
  • Strong understanding of business and marketing planning, financial acumen, strategic influencing, commercial negotiation and judgement
  • Must have a current drivers licence

About the Job

The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying and developing new revenue opportunities and building relationships with existing and new accounts.

You will be dealing directly with our customers and providing solutions to their equipment hire needs. Your responsibilities include but are not limited to;

  • Plan & present tailored solutions based on customers needs
  • Prospect for new customers and convert this to increase business
  • Grow & retain existing accounts by presenting new solutions to customers
  • Establish & build solid relationships with all customers
  • Maintain an extensive knowledge of the market & product solutions we can provide
  • Assist with the development of monthly sales forecasts/pipelines
  • Developing sales and marketing strategies
  • Providing exceptional customer service in all interactions
  • Effectively manage relationships and business objectives with key accounts through the development and implementation of strategic call planning
  • Develop formal pipeline through a territory/portfolio plan
