Selection Steel is one of Australia's leading sheet and coil steel suppliers into the building products, laser cutting, fabrication, engineering and manufacturing sectors. With the business entering a strong growth phase, we are inviting applications from energetic and passionate customer service focused candidates to join our sales organisation operating out of our Brisbane office.

Supported by an experienced local and national team, the primary objectives of this role are to exceed sales targets, build and maintain relationships with our current customer base and develop opportunities with new customers in Queensland. Selection Steel is proud of its high level of customer service and flexibility to meet and exceed customer's expectations, which is also an important part of this role.

Reporting to the State Manager, the Internal Sales Representative will be working closely with our sales team and your duties will include:

  • Answering customer enquiries via telephone and email;
  • Processing customer orders;
  • Filing quotes and ensuring purchase orders have been actioned;
  • Maintain CRM data base with accurate and relevant customer information
  • Following up quotations;
  • Liaise with our production team to ensure products supplied are correct and despatched on time;
  • Support the team to reach sales targets.

An ideal Internal Sales Representative will hold the following skills and experiences:

  1. Exceptional organisational, planning and prioritisation skills
  2. Outstanding communication skills across customer and internal departments
  3. High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  4. Ability to meet deadlines
  5. Highly motivated and ability to set goals
  6. Competent computer skills (MS office required)

The following skills would be advantageous but not essential:

  • Knowledge of or experience in the Steel industry
  • Sales and or customer service experience
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Immediate start

Remuneration: Salary + Bonus incentives
