About the role:

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Interior Design professional to join the team at Studio M Tiles in Bella Vista. This challenging and rewarding role will see you ensuring the smooth operation of the Tile Studio through the day to day management of the showroom as well as leading and mentoring our fantastic team of Design Consultants.  

In addition you will be responsible for managing the relationship with our amazing client Metricon Homes at a local level. Working with a client who are a leading, multi award winning new home builder we expect you to display a professional approach and be quick to solve problems on the ground level.

Responsibilities:

• Supporting, training and developing the team of Design Consultants
• Managing your own appointments with clients and guiding them through the tile selection process
• Developing an expertise understanding of our range and keeping up to date with new product additions
• Building relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Administration relating to the tile selection process including utilising estimation and quotation systems as well as raising orders, client variations and follow ups
• Ensuring the maintenance of the studio including displays, samples, libraries and brochures
• Issue resolution and problem reporting
• Carrying out weekly activity reports

Skills & Experience

• Previous management and design experience 
• Ideally hold a qualification in interior design
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively build and manage relationships
• Demonstrated problem solving skills and the ability to use your own initiative
• Adaptable, flexible and able to juggle competing priorities
• Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate your team
• High attention to detail and strong administration skills
• Have a knowledge of CAD packages
• Previous experience in tiles or flooring will be viewed favourably
