As a Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for building and fostering highly influential relationships with Komatsu Mining Corps regional, national and multi-national customer base.  You will have the opportunity to stretch your capabilities and gain exposure to high-value capital sales on a global level.  This is a permanent full-time position, based in Wacol, QLD, with regional and interstate travel required

 

Key responsibilities in this role include:

  • Maintaining a strong knowledge of KMC products, parts and service capabilities;
  • In conjunction with the sales team, work effectively to meet the KMC sales targets;
  • Demonstrate integrity in all aspects of business, and in particular when dealing with KMC proprietary information, customer information and contract negotiations;
  • Actively seek and secure profitable sales of mining products and services;
  • Proactively seek and manage information from the customer that will aid in technical improvements of the KMC  products;
  • Actively solicit parts, manufacturing, service, predictive diagnostics and repair work to allow maximum utilisation of KMC facilities and capabilities;
  • Be aware of and seek information of our competitors for the purpose of benchmarking our products;
  • Prepare and deliver sales packages specific to customer needs;

 

Qualifications

  • Technical background or equivalent, in Mining or related Industries
  • Communication and or Marketing/Sales qualifications highly regarded
  • Electrical /Mechanical Trade certificate or Engineering Diploma

 

Experience

  • Demonstrated skills in business development and effective human resource management
  • Capacity to manage people and to lead and work co-operatively in a team
  • Extensive experience with open cut mining applications
  • Proven sales and marketing background with a strong emphasis on understanding the customer’s needs (5-10 years desirable)
  • Account Management experience
  • Vast network across the mining and construction industry
  • Demonstrated focus on Safety
  • Understanding and commitment to QA and Continuous improvement
  • Project and Contract management experience desirable
