The Women in Super Mother’s Day Classic is a national participation event held on Mother’s Day, attracting over 100,000 attendees each year. Established in 1998 and organised by the MDC Foundation (MDCF), its purpose is to raise funds for breast cancer research, to increase awareness of breast cancer within the community and to support and remember those affected by breast cancer. All proceeds from the event are donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) and to date over $35m has been raised for breast cancer research.
Based in the Melbourne CBD, MDCF is currently seeking a passionate and talented individual to manage our national sponsorships in the part time role of Partnerships Specialist. This role reports to the Chief Operating Officer and will work collaboratively with the current Partnerships Specialist.
The primary purpose of this role is to manage and maintain our national sponsorships, and also develop and deliver a strategy that identifies and secures new sponsors. In addition, the role is to recommend and support sponsorship campaigns and packages for major and regional events.
Ideally, the successful candidate will be tertiary qualified in a business related discipline with a focus on sponsorship, sales or marketing and have significant demonstrable experience in a key account or relationship management role. Ideally the successful applicant will bring to the role a strong knowledge, experience and prospective established networks in commercial partnerships.
You will have a business development and stakeholder management background with the ability to work proactively, and a talent to influence and negotiate. We expect you will also be a creative and organised person, with strong presentation skills and experience in grant and proposal writing.

Salary for this role is negotiable depending on the candidates prior expertise, however will be within the range for a NFP in a leadership position.

- 11.5% superannuation
- 4 additional ‘rostered’ days off (1 per quarter )
- Additional 3.5 days annual leave between Christmas and New Year (after 12 mths service)
