Our client is one of Australia's leaders in automated control positioning equipment. The business operates nationally serving clients within the resources,civil projects, infrastructure and mining sectors.The Civil Major Account Manager is responsible for driving and developing the civil sales strategy with regional personnel to achieve the revenue and operational objectives of the business to ensure the NSW region retains a position as a major player.The core focus of this role is to drive major key account sales within existing and new prospective clients.The role will report directly to the National Manager and the successful candidate will be an integral part of the senior sales team..

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and actively maintaining sales strategies for major accounts in NSW.
  • Work directly with the sales teams to influence industry networks to leverage opportunities
  • Analysing new business opportunities
  • Contributing to setting annual sales budgets
  • Working directly with civil construction, engineering and infrastructure sales and services teams to meet or exceed targets
  • Developing and actively engaging in activities with clients building strong long term relationships.
  • Achieving or exceeding planned gross profit through management of discounting and quote packaging.
  • Building customer awareness of the brand capabilities, products and support services
  • Exploring marketing opportunities and sales strategies within company guidelines
  • Undertaking on-going sales training on products and sales skills
  • Providing quotations as required by customers
  • Negotiating all aspects of a customer’s order within company policies
  • Providing excellent customer service and support via competent and timely technical and commercial advice.
  • Ad hoc projects as required.

The successful candidate will have worked driving key major client accounts and new sales within NSW as part of a senior sales team of a mid - enterprise or enterprise business. You will be a strong communicator and be an influencer. A background within the civil construction, engineering or infrastructure sector and a demonstrated experience in, and knowledge of, Machine Guidance, GPS enabled site solutions, laser and related systems would be a preferred.

The  suitable candidate will have a relevant degree or similar and good understanding of financials. Your ability to think strategically, plan and execute results and improvements should be highlighted in your response.
