About the Opportunity

We are seeking a talented Express Manager to grow our private party business in Sydney (known internally as "Express" hire).  This is a very rewarding and diverse role, where your primary responsibility will be to proactively grow the private event channel in Sydney and NSW. At a minimum, responsibilities include:

• Respond to and resolve party hire inquiries for the Sydney market.
• Contact clients to receive and fulfil orders.
• Advise, up sell and cross sell to events by telephone sales on their furniture, electrical, audio visual, signage and marquee requirements.
• Source and order necessary cross hire items.
• Account Manage smaller party events (e.g. Weddings) 
• Managing the quote and payments of all party orders.
• Manage incoming calls to the Sydney office and allocate to relevant teams.
• Responsible for the growth and success of party hire in Sydney through outbound and inbound sales, as well as operational efficiency.
• Manage stock levels in the NSW warehouse for Expresso. Including interstate transfers and stock cleanliness and returns. 
•  Some interstate travel may be required

About your Experience

• A passion to build a career in the Events industry
• Tertiary qualification is mandatory
• Self-motivated character. Emotionally mature with a drive and passion to grow the Express channel as if it was your own business
• Previous sales experience preferred
• Previous experience in events, hospitality, venues, hotels and/or outbound call centre experience
• Strong time management, organisational skills and people skills
• Exceptional levels of initiative and naturally proactive attitude.
• The ability to work well in a team environment
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Understand the importance of a clean environment and professional appearance 
• Availability to work on-site and after hours when required
