With multiple offices around the world our client is a rapidly expanding Fintech vendor in the payments space. They are a premier electronic payment solution/technology vendor and payment service provider who strive to bring their award-winning solutions and services to a worldwide market.  

Recent growth and accelerated business expansion has resulted in the need for a Business Development Manager in Australia, a role which can be based in either Melbourne or Sydney. This role will primarily focus on providing the comprehensive payment processing solution to local merchants.

Reporting to the Melbourne based Head of Sales, your key responsibilities will include: 
  • Identify new sales opportunities (new logos) within the merchant space and develop key account leads
  • Develop effective sales/marketing strategies to help meet business targets
  • Establish and maintain a strong presence within the market and develop healthy relationships with merchants within the SME space
  • Manage project tender bidding and support solution proposal preparation
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:
  • 3+ years relevant sales experience working in an ePayment related business
  • Detailed knowledge of the major local, regional and global players in the payment technology space
  • Experience in selling to local merchants with an existing network to leverage
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills - CEO, CFO level 
  • High level business acumen
  • Outstanding commercial, presentation, influencing and negotiation skills
  • Tertiary qualification desirable - Business/Finance/IT
