Preference Floors is a 100% Australian owned company specialising in supply and distribution of Engineered Timber floors, Bamboo floors, Laminate floors and vinyl plank floors to Australian markets nation-wide.

We operate five warehouses; Sydney, Melbourne, Western Australia, Adelaide and Brisbane. We are one of the key suppliers of hard flooring in Australia.

Key Account Manager with direct responsibility in building opportunities with current and emerging customers within an established region.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Maintain regular contact with existing and emerging new accounts.
  • Deliver targeted sales growth, both of volume and margin, in line with budget expectations.
  • Build product awareness and customer relationships within your designated territory.
  • Maintain commercial awareness through market intelligence and positively contribute to product and service initiatives of the company.
  • Clearly communicate sales activity and opportunities through regular feedback to the Company Director.

The Successful Applicant

The successful applicant will come from a Key Sales or Account Management background and must possess a recent history of success with sales into the Retail or Commercial flooring supply network. Only individuals that can demonstrate this prior experience will be considered for the role. Additionally key character attributes would include;

  • Display a positive attitude and hunger for success.
  • Able to demonstrate an experienced sales network that will allow a quick progression into the role.
  • A good knowledge of the dynamics occurring within the flooring supply distribution channels.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • Strong account management and relationship building skills.
  • Experience at  managing and developing major accounts and new business at all levels.
  • Sound computer literacy and communication skills.
  • The role may require occasional country travel.
