My client is a national supplier of industrial, automotive and engineered parts and equipment in the Campbellfield area of Melbourne.  The company has a network of branch around the country.  This a newly created role.

We are currently looking for an experienced branch manager or supervisor (looking for the next step in their career) to manage a busy branch.  The role has responsibility for customer service, warehousing and internal sales.  Some customer account management duties will form part of the role over time.  There are currently 5 direct reports.

The ideal candidate will have had experience in managing a branch at either a manager or supervisory level (larger branch) preferably in industrial or engineering supplies.  For example, welding supplies, trade supplies, heavy vehicle or off road equipment parts etc.  The branch does have a trade counter but does not generally sell direct to the public.

The branch receives stock for resale from a manufacturing plant in NSW and via direct importation from overseas. Logistics management forms a key part of the role..

You will need to possess good people and communications skills as well as strong organisational and systems skills.  Strong mechanical aptitude would be an advantage.
