Established for over 12 years, and employing over 30 staff, we are one of the country’s most innovative and progressive suppliers of engineered building materials; with a keen focus on the Electrical, Civil, Utilities and Telecommunications industries, we have prided ourselves on our ability to innovate and stay one step ahead of the market, thus enabling us to act as a trusted partner to key influencers within our target market sectors.  Having enjoyed a strong start to 2018, we are seeking to expand our existing sales team here in WA, and are now seeking to recruit a Business Development Manager, based from our head office in the Northern Suburbs of Perth.

 

The Role:

Working as an extension of our existing Queensland sales team, the Business Development Manager will be expected to be “out and about” in the Sydney market place, targeting current projects using a lead generator BCI, you will be expected to organise and attend meetings & presentations with key decision makers, operating across the electrical, construction, plumbing, hydraulic, utilities, mining, infrastructure and industrial markets.  Working with projects ranging in value from $10,000 up to $3M, the successful BDM will be expected to be the face of Burdens in the local market, and work tirelessly to create and raise brand awareness, ensuring that all project opportunities are maximised.

 

About you:

With prior experience of working as a BDM, or field-based sales professional, the successful candidate should have a strong and outgoing personality, be highly credible and enjoy operating in a face to face environment.  Prior experience of selling products and solutions within the electrical, plumbing, civil, utilities or industrial markets is highly desirable, as is some tangible track record of winning projects of both a large and small value.  Most importantly we are seeking the RIGHT person, someone whom has a desire to be successful and wants to achieve goals and objectives, given that we already have a very good and high performing team, you should have an ability to fit in well with others, obviously prior field sales experience is a must, as is some passion and drive to be successful in your sales career.

We will provide product training, and IT systems training; and the successful candidate can look forward to progressing with the company as we grow, hopefully moving into product management, Key Account Management or even a management positions as their skills develop.
