We are working with a leading technical services contracting company who are seeking an experienced Bid Manager to join the executive team. This role will see you grow existing customer value streams and secure new customers with particular focus on proposals and bid management in the telecommunications sector.

As the Bid Manager you will take ownership of the end-to-end bid process including the introduction and implementation of all necessary bid process, procedures and governance. The role will facilitate bid campaign management from opportunity identification through to project delivery and will provide valuable input into opportunity qualification, win strategies, commercial discussions and solution design.

Some of the responsibilities of this role will include but not be limited to;

  • Lead all day-to-day aspects of a bid ensuring that it is completed on time and fits the client brief
  • Manage the bid qualification process for new opportunities
  • Development of timeline and bid milestones from initial review of documentation through response development, draft preparation and management sign off
  • Work closely with the business development team and engage subject matter experts when required
  • Risk tracking and management throughout the bid process
  • Ownership of the written proposal, both in terms of content and presentation
  • Arrange post bid reviews with customers and post contract award
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders and serve as the focal point for all bid related queries and communication
  • Create, share and maintain a bid library to enable the efficient compilation of written documentation
  • Maintain the sales pipeline and reporting database

To be considered for this role you will have experience in;

  • End to end bid management with tenders and project in excess of $50mill
  • Excellent written communication and ability to interpret client briefs
  • Ability to work under pressure and to challenging deadlines
  • Ability to lead by example and manage delivery teams as required
  • Strong interpersonal skills, a collaborative approach and client focus
  • Strong stakeholder management and ability to build strong internal relationships quickly
  • An ability to understand the industry and the business itself and how it delivers its product and then to use this understanding in developing tailored bids in response to client documentation
  • Ability to problem solve and get the best outcome for the business
  • Advanced skills in MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Create, share and maintain a bid library to enable the efficient compilation of written documentation
  • Maintain the sales pipeline and reporting database
  • Visual communication skills - working with graphic designers to apply brand awareness and develop visual themes for bids, diagrams, charts and other material
