We are well positioned as an industry leader with a strong network of customers, as well as local and overseas suppliers, servicing a vast variety of applications covering industries such as: Water Treatment, Heavy Industrial, Mining, Food, Conveying, Specialty Machinery Building, Electrical, Pharmaceutical, Electronics, Repetition Engineering, Government, Civil, Waste Recycling, Road Transport, Rail and Rolling Stock, Chemical, Safety Guarding, as well as many others. 

Large stock holdings of semi finished engineering plastic shapes; coupled with very strong internal and contracting production facilities, place Gantiel in a unique position to control the complete process of supply, starting from a basic stock supply all the way through to fully finished fabricated or CNC machined engineering parts.

Application knowledge, as well as the ability to offer complete solutions to the customer, positions Gantiel at the cutting edge of know-how and technology. This allows us to provide our customer base with a complete package of products and services utilising engineering plastics and associated products. 

Gantiel is now embarking on a significant expansion in our market presence; covering distribution, supply and machining capabilities. The growth within our business opens up an exciting opportunity for a passionate and result driven individual to join our external sales and marketing team as an Area Technical Sale Representative.  

Primary responsibilities will be: 

• Management of business, promotional activities and sales / profit budgets for your area of responsibility. 

• Review and assess market dynamics of immediate and related industries we service and operate within. Ensure your customer base is well serviced and the product range we offer to the respective markets are sufficient and adapted to suit the demands within your sales territory. 

• Maintaining strong relationships with key decision makers within your allocated accounts. Expected primary focus on keeping abreast with ever changing status of these decision makers and stakeholders. 

• Coordinating and measuring of the business performance in your area. That includes: orders, quotes, projects, pricing structures and forward stock planning for your respective client base. 

• Assisting in planning and execution of R&D projects for your area. 

•  Consistent planning, execution and follow up of the call pattern for managing existing accounts. 

• Investigating related and existing opportunities for new applications and / or accounts to grow your sales area. 

To be successful in this role, you will be a true deliverer of results. You are a problem solver with excellent commercial acumen and you have a proven track record in business to business sales within the industrial markets.

Strong business development skills, with the ability to uncover sales opportunities from untapped clients, is a must. You need to be an order closer with an instinct for business direction and natural ability to defuse and / or avoid the obstacles in the way of successful business dealings. You are a strategic thinker who takes initiative and excels at both working autonomously and within a team. Possessing excellent communication and influencing skills, as well as strong planning and organizational ability with effective relationship building skills is a must in this role. Previous experience and related tertiary qualifications will be highly regarded.
