Company
Our client is a leading Australian company that is a market leader in the manufacture and supply of high-quality performance fabrics into the commercial construction markets, servicing a broad range of sectors. They continue to introduce new and innovative products to gain further market share. This newly created role is critical for the continual growth and development of the company’s expansion plans.
Role
Reporting to the State Sales Manager you will be responsible for identifying and gaining specifications in key commercial building projects and establishing strong relationships with architects and designers. Commercial success will be achieved by product specification and ultimate usage in major projects throughout Victoria. You will work closely with colleagues and manage relationships with builders, developers and end users to ensure the specification is converted to sales success. This is an entry level position with lots of training involved therefore an eagerness and willingness to learn and develop is absolutely essential for success. This role would suit a sales professional with up to a years experience or a design school graduate that is looking to venture into the sales industry.
Skills & Experience
We are seeking applicants who can demonstrate the following skills and experience;
- Strong sales ability/potential
- Experience in specified building products sales is highly desirable
- A good understanding of the interior design industry and/or design qualifications
- High degree of energy, self motivation and desire to be rewarded with your hard efforts
- Existing relationships with specifiers and/or decision makers in the fit-out process is highly desired
- Stable track record of employment and desire to move into a long term career role
