As the business continues to make strong inroads within their respective markets, they are seeking a hands on State Sales Manager to lead a dynamic team across NSW & ACT.

Description

Reporting to the Business Unit Manager - Pacific Region, the State Sales Manager is directly responsible for driving and achieving the profitability and effective operational management of the State business, which includes leadership of both Sales & Service teams. Hailing from a electrical/mechanical background, the successful applicant will be verse in complex sales processes and the regular monitoring of commercial activities including lucrative tenders & project.

Providing strong leadership to a loyal and highly capable State team, this individual will drive and promote an exemplary focus on the customer, engaging in regular sales activity with stakeholders such as tier 1 builders, developers, architects, designers and senior procurement figureheads. There will be an entrepreneurial approach to this role, which ensures the development of strategies for securing key/major projects and this individual will lead these types of contract negotiations.

This role is pivotal in the future growth of the business both in the state and nationally, and will work in close tandem with the Business Unit Manager to lay sustainable foundations for future market dominance. This is a terrific opportunity for a technically savvy sales leader to build a legacy under the wing of a clear market leader and ambassador for quality.

Profile

To be considered for this opportunity, the successful candidate will possess:

  • Proven success in a hands on sales management role within a service intensive business, preferably within electrical or mechanical markets e.g. pneumatics/hydraulics/automation.
  • A comprehension of the financials of running a business i.e. profit & loss understanding, top-bottom line.
  • Previous experience from an international company in leading sales roles, with excellent time management & organisational skills
  • A personable and collaborative attitude
  • Strong business orientation, drive & results focus
