Our client is an established leading national supplier of hand tools including crimpers, cutters, strippers, hammers, screwdrivers and bits, pliers, spanners, knives, tapes and saws. With a true national footprint and unique local manufacturing capability, they have a broad and comprehensive offering to service the Retail, Wholesale, Defence, Mining, Utility and Telecommunications sectors.
Position & Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the National Sales Manager, as the Business Development Manager you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of new and existing national and independent hardware retail accounts. You will be responsible for maximising sales and profitability of the product portfolio, achieved by driving revenue growth within existing accounts and the generation of new business and market opportunities, whilst promoting the company's corporate image.
Requirements
- Demonstrated Account Management and/or Business Development (hunter/farmer) experience in the retail hardware industry.
- Strong reference able contacts, preferably at H/O level
- Proven and demonstrated track record of success
- Highly developed interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and influencing skills
- Self-motivated, intuitive and a positive demeanour
- Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision

The successful applicant will receive an attractive salary package commensurate with experience, including a base salary of $80,000 - $100,000 plus Superannuation, a Fully Maintained Company Vehicle or Vehicle Allowance and incentive scheme, as well as the opportunity to establish yourself with a leading national organisation!
