TRADE SALESPERSON / WHS OFFICER
Tillett Natural Stone Industries is a nationally recognised manufacturer of high quality natural stone products including public and private monuments, benchtops and commercial stonework.
We are seeking an experienced full-time trade sales / WHS Officer based in our Adelaide factory, this role involves both the selling of stone products to trade customers as well as managing and maintaining our Work Health and Safety system.
The successful applicant will be offered full training and support to ensure their success in this role and would ideally suit someone with a trade background.
Job tasks and responsibilities
• Direct sales of all stone products to both retail and trade clients.
• Reply to Phone, Website and email enquiries.
• Prepare costings & tenders for supply.
• Arrange transport and supporting documentation for local and interstate freight.
• Assist and provide WHS advice to all site personnel
• Maintain safety management manuals and registers
• Establish and maintaining WHS practices and compliance
• Assist and review all incident reports and conduct investigations to resolve findings
• Conduct site specific Risk Assessments
• Ensure company compliance to WHS Legislation
• Assist with staff training in WHS for staff development
• Maintain applicable recording systems in relation to compliance
• Maintain internal policies and procedures to industry and legislative standards
• Prepare letters, spreadsheets, reports and other documents as required - using the
Microsoft suite of programs.
• Other duties as required.
Required Skills and experience
• Advanced computer application and user skills
• Highly organised and detail oriented
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Ability to read technical and architectural drawings.
• Current drivers licence.
Desired attributes
• Previous sales experience.
• Certificate 4 or Diploma in WHS
• Previous experience in the natural stone industry.
• Forklift (LF) licence.
