Are you experienced in the Food Service or Independent Grocery sector and looking for a new challenge in a global ASX listed organisation?

As part of the Sales and Service team, your role will be to develop and manage relationships with our key customers in the foodservice and independent grocery sectors in order to retain and grow market share.  This role will be based out of our Adelaide office, with a regular presence at Adelaide markets, and reports directly to the Senior Manager, New Business.  This is an initial 6 month fixed term contract with the potential to extend to permanent.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Building and fostering relationships with buyers, increasing their engagement with CHEP
  • Delivering superior customer service focused on added value
  • Helping customers to understand their account data to quickly identify potential issues
  • Reviewing weekly customer analytics to identify potential problem accounts
  • Making recommendations to customers to deliver creative solutions to problems
  • Partnering with customers to help them minimise losses and excess charges

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, experience and qualifications:

  • A degree qualification in Business, Commerce or a related field preferred
  • Experience in the Independent Retail or Foodservice Sectors
  • Some relationship management or territory management experience preferred
  • A willingness to perform a “hands on” role where customer contact and problem resolution are a major part of the job function
  • The ability to identify new business opportunities within a growing customer base
  • A highly motivated, passionate and proactive approach
  • The ability to work effectively both autonomously and as part of a team
  • Intermediate computer skills – Excel, Word, PowerPoint
