Our Position:  Reporting to the Senior Manager Retail and Procurement, based in Lidcombe, NSW, this role is required to grow our brand and business across a number of categories within the Independent Retail space.  This is not a position for the faint hearted, you will be required to drive product innovation and category development, overall resulting in better partnerships and increased returns and profitability, whilst achieving considerable growth targets.

As an example you will:

  • Work with the key management team in establishing sales and profit growth targets and then achieve them;
  • Develop strong and effective relationships with key customer representatives from Aldi, Metcash, Independent Supermarkets and other identified channels;
  • Drive key customers on the seafood journey and the Tassal brand;
  • Be an industry leader in category leadership (salmon & seafood) sharing knowledge and educating customers about sustainable salmon farming, our products and consumption trends;
  • Maximise promotional programs to deliver customer growth and profit targets/agreements within budget;
  • Drive new product concepts and subsequent launches to customers; and
  • Prepare forecasts for new and existing products.

 

You:  You will be a motivated and driven individual, with exceptional communication and negotiation skills which will enable you to manage customer expectations. Your strong leadership skills and impeccable relationship management style will hold you in good stead for this position.

In addition to the above you will have:

  • Excellent analytical skills with good commercial acumen;
  • Demonstrated experience within the retail grocery/FMCG sector;
  • Ability to build effective and sustainable relationships with customers and internal stakeholders;
  • Excellent presentation skills with a high degree of professionalism;
  • Understand how to use data to drive positive revenue and margin outcomes; and
  • Preferred tertiary qualifications and/or 2 years’ experience in the management of direct sales and marketing in a related field.
