Sales Consultant on 6 month fixed term contract

·         Rate of pay $35.00 per hour (38 hours per week)

·         6-month fixed term contract only (ASAP START)

·         Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm

·         Hotel Sales experience required

We are looking for a Casual Sales Consultant on a 6 month fixed term contract to represent The Great Southern Hotel as a group. The successful applicant will attract and maintain new clientele within the Corporate, Government and Airline industry (but not limited to). The Sales Consultant will be based in Sydney but will be responsible for all properties across Australia including; Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth. The Great Southern Hotel Group is growing within the hospitality and tourism industry, so we are looking for a well-resourced and connected professional to join the team for 6 months.

The Sales Professional will report to the Group General Manager and will be responsible for but not limited to:

·         Networking and driving sales across the Airline, Government, and Corporate industry but not limited to;

·         Cold calling to establish professional relationships with potential clients across all 4 properties in Australia;

·         Maintaining professional relations with clients by constant communication and conferences;

·         Managing existing and potential contacts and their accounts;

·         Promoting the Great Southern Hotel App;

·         Keeping up to date with industry changes and modern trends;

·         Examining competitors through research and data analysis;

·         Knowledge and awareness of all hotel features and procedures;

·         Dealing with correspondence from clients;

·         Reporting to the Group General Manager via monthly reports and data collection through excel spreadsheets.

The successful applicant will be rostered to work Monday- Friday from 9:00am-5:00pm but not including public holidays.
