Overview                               

Normet Asia Pacific (NAP) is an International Market Leader with over 50 years' experience in the development, production and sales of equipment and vehicles for Underground Mining and Tunnel Construction Companies. In addition, NAP provides Construction Chemicals (Ground Chemical Construction Technologies) and a comprehensive range of life-time care services for their widespread range of equipment.

An exciting opportunity to join this dynamic team has become available within the Wetherill Park, NSW branch. Reporting to the General Manager – GCCT, the newly appointed Technical Sales Representative – GCCT will be primarily responsible for to develop and achieve all sales activities, maximize profitability and encourage growth in the assigned market.

Responsibilities

Additional tasks for the role are as outlined below but not limited to:

  • Provide input into developing, maintaining and executing business plans and sales strategies for the market that ensures attainment of Company sales goals and profitability while execute strategies accordingly.
  • Analyse the market, customers, competition, latest trends, challenges, and product developments to identify future sales and product development opportunities.
  • Develop and Initiate action plans to penetrate new markets.
  • Investigate lost sales and customer accounts.
  • Provide input into forecasting of annual, quarterly and monthly sales revenue.
  • Cultivate effective business relationships with executive decision makers in key accounts.
  • Provide timely feedback to senior management regarding product performance and quality.
  • Prepare proposals and presentations to support the achievement of major sales projects.
  • Encourage and engage in regular interaction with other technical sales, logistics and procurement staff.
  • Maintain a constant communication channel with key decision makers of the accounts and industry leaders

Experience

To be considered for his role, the successful candidate must possess the desired attributes:

  • 5+ years or more experience in sales role.
  • High level knowledge and understanding of construction chemicals, concrete, underground mining/civil construction industries.
  • Tertiary qualifications in sales and marketing (Desirable).
  • Current valid driver’s license (Essential).

The successful applicant must be able to display the following characteristics:

  • Experience in all aspects of planning and implementing sales strategy.
  • Proven experience in customer relationship management.
  • Strong ability and understanding how of market research.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High and professional level of presentation skills.
  • High level of personal presentation.
  • High-level organization and planning skills.

This position is a Full-Time role starting as soon as practicable. The successful candidate must be able to undertake a pre-employment medical at NAP's request.
