Customer Service Officer

Job Description

The primary role of a Customer Service Officer is to respond to a variety of customer requests and inquiries via the telephone about our company's products, and to promote and sell our services to existing and potential services, as well as provide some after sales service.

Responsibilities

  • Generate sales for our Wholesale division;
  • Provide strong support to a highly experienced and motivated Sales Team;
  • Develop and maintain effective business relationships with current and prospective customers;
  • Receive and respond to customer service account inquiries on account balances, transaction details;
  • Handle and resolve customer's complaints;
  • Identify customer needs;
  • Provide useful product information to customers;
  • Proactively collect feedback from customers;
  • Understand and promote the company's products and services

The Successful Applicant

The successful applicant should have exceptional communication skills, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn new skills.  Experience within the food service industry is essential, and a knowledge of HACCP, and meat and seafood products will be highly regarded. A high standard of interpersonal skills, database experience, computer literacy and the ability to work in a team environment is also a must.  Previous experience within a customer service call centre or products based environment will be highly regarded.  Good communication skills (both oral and written) in English and Chinese will also be highly regarded.

Business Development Officer

The ideal candidate will possess a hunter mentality and able to cultivate long term business relationships with a strength in originating deals.  The ideal candidate should be highly driven, high energy, focused results individual that can influence others.  

Job Description

  • Planning and organizing a personal sales strategy and daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets;
  • Demonstrating products and services to existing/potential customers and assisting them in selecting those best suited to their needs;
  • Coordinating sales effort with marketing, sales management, accounting, logistics and technical service groups;
  • Keeping abreast of product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends;
  • Analyzing the value of existing and prospective customers to the organization;
  • Submitting activity and results reports, such as weekly call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses to management;

Requirements

  • 3-4 years' experience in sales and/or customer service, preferably in the food sector;
  • Ability to source  leads and convert prospects to clients;
  • Possess active listening skills;
  • Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills;
  • Demonstrated  persuasive presentation, negotiation and closing skills;
  • Demonstrated success working collaboratively to achieve team goals
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite;
  • Valid drivers' licence.
