About The Role

Due to increased market share and business growth, this role of Business Development Manager has been created to capture market share whilst still providing the high levels of account maintenance to the large database of clients. You will contribute directly to the company’s success and will report to the General Manager. This is an exciting role that will utilise your business acumen and proven record of achievements in sales & marketing as well as your hunger to acquire new skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Account Manage a business critical Commercial Laundry Customer
  • Monitor revenue quantity, quality and both current and forecasted -pipeline
  • Prepare for, manage and ensure resolution of issues raised at Joint Service Reviews (JSR)
  • Coordinate all follow-ups on significant performance short falls
  • Report to client as needed on quality concerns and resolution thereof
  • Develop a plan for the service needs of this business critical Customer
  • Improve revenue quality (yield) through account planning process
  • Monitor stock requirements and stock turn as well as communicates with the client on stock commitments
  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities to extend and develop the company’s customer and profit base specifically in the Health and Aged Care market segments.
  • Proactively develop and contribute strategically by generating ideas and opportunities to achieve the overall business plan for the Health and Aged Care markets
  • Prepare and conducts presentations to, and negotiations with, prospective customers to achieve growth objectives.
  • Develop sales plans and coordinate marketing strategies for major accounts, within the context of the overall corporate plan and, where appropriate, recommend standards and set sales targets and quotas.
  • Prepare an annual sales forecast and advise management on the market strategies required to achieve sales targets
  • Develop new business opportunities and attend to the key accounts personally to ensure product and distribution arrangements are meeting client requirements.
  • Liaise with marketing and sales staff, industry associations, government bodies and others to ensure new business opportunities are identified and followed through.
  • Prepare regular reports and analysis of new and existing business achievements, opportunities, targets & trends.
  • Grow customer base by leveraging analytical capabilities to support the development of sales targets and critical category by market intelligence
  • Work with the sales & marketing team to optimise promotional plans, trade investment and return

About You

You will have 5+ years of Sales experience in Healthcare/Aged care or an aligned industry. Our client is well structured and will provide strong support, yet your Business Development Skills will see you out on the road, engaging customers with your pro-active and hands on approach to building business as you will be working in a highly competitive environment. A tertiary qualification is essential, paired with a demonstrated investment to learn and better yourself. You will be confident to deliver business projections to management with your natural communication skills.
