The Corporate Business Manager for 3M Medical Division is responsible for coordinating activities between 3M and our most important customers. You will intimately understand your key accounts at every level to ensure that 3M can deliver value beyond products; helping them to achieve their goals clinically and operationally.

 

The ideal candidate will be goal oriented, analytical and have an excellent balance of interpersonal and independent working skills. You will innovate new ways of achieving a goal, proactively drawing on the expertise around you and enlisting stakeholders internally and externally as project champions. Data analysis will provide you with the tools you need to ensure the decisions you make are commercially sound and reflective of your customer’s needs.

 

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Establish strategic business relationships within targeted LHDs (Local Health District) through developing contacts high and wide within the accounts, and coordinating with field sales teams to deliver high value solutions to every department
  • Develop and implement the business plan and strategy for each targeted LHD by demonstrating strong collaboration, communication and teamwork across Medical Division to jointly meet and exceed objectives
  • Conduct professional and impactful business reviews to help customers understand current trends, deliver savings opportunities, identify key initiatives, and facilitate projects that drive value to the LHD and 3M
  • Demonstrate deep knowledge and expertise in healthcare economics, financial and business acumen, and supply chain management
  • Demonstrate strong project management expertise
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of the solutions offered by C3SD and IPD through their product offerings
  • Willingness to assume additional assignments as requested by management
  • Coordination of pretender planning, tender submission and post contract planning to ensure timely completion of the interfunctional parts of the process
  • Ability to successfully navigate within a complex matrix management environment
  • Act with integrity to protect 3Ms reputation and sustainability, working within local corporate guidelines and alongside the local legal department
  • Utilise 3M resources for effective business execution including but not limited to Salesforce, Outlook email/calendar, Concur expense system, Excel & Powerpoint for reporting and presentations

 

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Demonstrate strong project management expertise
  • Ideally be degree qualified
  • Have previous health care industry experience (acute care)
  • Proven experience in sales, marketing and/or business development
  • Experience leading and working in cross-functional teams
  • Strong business and financial acumen. Confidence in presenting strategy.
  • Natural leader irrespective of reporting lines
  • Experience navigating a matrixed organization, strategic thinking, project management, forecasting, planning, data analysis, interpretation and presentation along with business writing skills
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage relationships to increase relevance within accounts and to internal stakeholders and presenting to Senior Level Management and selling to Director / VP level customers
  • Hold a current Blue Card
  • Have a current drivers licence
