These solutions are underpinned by the company's focused and tailored approach, in which Area Managers play a pivotal role, ensuring long-term customer relationships.

As Area Manager you will report to the Sales Manager and manage a portfolio of key mining accounts in the Papua New Guinea region, liaising extensively with the Maintenance Superintendents and other key stakeholders, to continually improve plant performance. This will involve: developing strategies to engage customers and add value; fostering and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships (externally and internally); troubleshooting equipment and service problems; co-ordinating product and service specialists; supporting the commissioning of equipment; preparing and presenting proposals and facilitating associated negotiations; monitoring service levels and customer satisfaction; training customer representatives on the application and operation of products; preparing and maintaining customer records and reports; budgeting, forecasting and planning; and related monitoring, evaluation, reporting and improvement.

While your successful career history may not have been in a similar role, it is expected that you will be able to demonstrate high level relationship management skills, excellent (written and oral) communication skills and the ability to quickly and effectively acquire and apply technical and commercial knowledge. Willingness and ability to travel is also required.

Tertiary qualifications in an Engineering discipline will be highly regarded, as is experience in a hard rock or coal mining environment.

This role is based in Brisbane, or Townsville by negotiation, and requires routine travel to Papua New Guinea.
