Business Development/Relationship Manager

We’re a social enterprise and our purpose is to positively impact cocoa farming communities in West Africa.

As a result of continued growth, Hey Tiger has an exciting opportunity for a driven sales professional to join their team as Business Development/Relationship Manager. You'll be responsible for developing relationships with new businesses and introducing them to Hey Tiger’s chocolate suite for corporate gifting, collaborations and wholesaling options. 

You’ll source your own local business leads by leveraging your existing network, then develop relationships with key stakeholders to help them find value-driven solutions to their corporate gifting and wholesaling needs. Working across the business market, you’ll work strategically to establish a long term sales strategy for each of your prospects, and use your established B2B relationship experience to close lucrative sales. 

Our team at Hey Tiger are already working with some of the brightest and innovative brands in the market, and in this role, you’ll get to work with these businesses to strengthen these relationships (and build their investment).

As a self confessed chocolate addict who actually wants their work to have meaning, you’ll work closely with, and report directly to the CEO (and founder) of Hey Tiger,  and will work closely with our clients and the broader Hey Tiger team. You’ll be responsible for:

  • Securing new business in the wholesaling, collaboration and corporate gifting space

  • Researching, identifying and securing new relationship leads

  • Maintaining and increasing the investment of current clients, identifying new opportunities for growth within these relationships

  • Perform to and exceed set budgets and KPIs quarterly

  • Have a 360-degree mindset to new business development and maintain a commercial mindset at all times

  • Apply ‘out of the box’ thinking to create bespoke opportunities for customers

  • Maintain a weekly WIP for internal meetings and reporting

  • Maintain personal budget for internal reporting and forecasting

  • Help with the production of promotional and sales materials as needed

  • Taste chocolate during tasting sessions - we know, it’s a very hard part of the job

Skills and Experience Specification

  • Must love chocolate… (just kidding)

  • Strong background of business development and relationship management

  • Strong relationship building skills (you’re an expert) and likeability

  • Ability to see value for customers, and know what value means for them

  • Influential and effective writing and communication skills

  • Ability to read people, understand what they need, and be able to deliver it to them

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work to deadlines, influencing all parties along the way

  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new situations, structure and needs of Hey Tiger and clients/customers
