- ABOUT THE ROLE -

XAM Consulting is a high-growth company and we have an opportunity for a permanent, full-time Business Development Manager based in our Sydney CBD office.

XAM Consulting continues to grow through transformation phase that will deliver both beautiful and functional web and mobile applications across multiple sectors. 

We’re looking for an exceptionally driven and experienced sales professional who is hungry for a challenge. You are a confident, dynamic, and passionate individual, with a consultative approach to digital/mobile development.

Your primary objective will be to create relationships with new customers with the view of helping them buy mobile application development services. You will have a diverse role, working on new client acquisition through cold calling, networking and other outreach methods, as well as working to convert leads that have arrived through our marketing channels. 

You will be focused on ensuring customers have a great engagement experience and choose to continue their journey with XAM Consulting for many years.

The key areas of focus will include:

  • Outbound lead generation - ensuring you have a consistent stream of optimal leads to grow XAM's client portfolio 
  • Prospecting - devising and executing strategies to win target clients
  • Networking - attend conferences and networking events
  • Inbound opportunities - qualifying leads, engaging in workshops and coordinating RFI/RFP responses
  • Pitches - working to develop our brand and  coordinating a successful, best-in-class pitch

 

The ideal candidate should have the following qualities and skills:

  • 3-5 years of experience working in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
  • Familiarity with or experience in a IT/Software/Solution sales environment is required
  • Knowledge of the Sydney market and a robust Australian network is a must
  • Excellent at face-to-face pitching in any environment with CMO, CIO, Software Development Managers, Tech Leaders and director level is a must
  • A closer – with an impressive track record of hitting 7 digit revenue-based sales goals 
  • Strong understanding of sales cycle
  • Solid mobile experience/knowledge is a plus
