Boral Recycling is a dynamic construction and demolition (C&D) waste recycling business which operates across NSW and the ACT. The business receives and processes materials such as concrete, asphalt and brick into engineered and non-engineered construction materials.

In this role you will be managing the sourcing and acquisition of recyclable building products including supporting a customer base for sales of processed recycling construction materials.  

Reporting to the State Manager – Recycling, the Account Manager - Recycling, will have responsibility to ensure that sourced products meet Boral Recycling Inspection Receival Protocol, relevant Australian Standards, customer and regulatory specifications and will ensure the customer is provided with innovative solutions for managing C&D waste materials.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Provide customers with inbound sales, technical support, quotes and follow up leads 
  • Build strong relationships with current customers and source, approach potential customers
  • Ensure continuous improvement with innovative ideas in all aspects of C&D recycling account management
  • Establish and report a weekly call planner to facilitate regular contact with current customers to monitor their requirements and their perception of service
  • Actively capture price movements and competitor activities
  • Communicate and confirm any price changes with customers
  • Prepare monthly forecasts and participate in sales and operational planning meetings

To be successful you must have the following skills, qualification, and experience:

  • Proven ability and experience in account management with a strong customer focus
  • Strong people and communication skills
  • Organisational skills with ability to prioritise competing deadlines
  • Adept at presentations capability with proficient computer skills 
  • Demonstrated ability to develop effective working relationships with all people, and to lead and influence people
  • Personal drive and results-orientation
  • Knowledge and understanding of construction, quarrying and recycling industry market, including products, relevant Australian Standards and product specifications and competitors would be an advantage
