About the Opportunity
With thousands of users across 10 countries, offices in Australia and the US, healthy recurring revenues, limited competition and an active / innovation-driven product development team, this company is uniquely well-positioned to capture more of the global market and focused on realising ambitious growth plans by 2020.
As Commercial Manager, you’ll work closely alongside the CEO to lead/structure the sales, support and install teams and help guide this exciting company through a transformative, international growth phase. You’ll also lead from the front in terms of Key Account Management (i.e. overseeing large National Accounts) and executing new client acquisition strategies.
Milestone achievements over the next 3 years will include:
- Becoming a structured / well-run sales and marketing organisation
- Doubling of annual revenues
- Expansion into and across multiple, overseas markets (HUGE potential in US)
- Overseeing multiple, successful product launches and engagement campaigns
- Improving key performance metrics across Sales, Support and Installation
- Cultivating a positive, team-focused culture based on shared accountability
- Working closely with the CEO to improve overall business systems and commercial strategies to support further company growth
About You
- You’re either an experienced Commercial Manager or an accomplished National Account Manager / Sales & Marketing Manager ready to step into a larger role with global scope
- You’re experienced in:
- Direct Personal Sales – lead generation / new business pipelining; account development; closing; exceeding personal sales targets
- Major Account Management – Joint Business Planning; Preferred Supplier Agreements; etc.
- People Leadership
- Team Sales Planning / Budget Management
- Marketing / Pricing Strategies – comfortable with new product / market launches, go-to-market campaigns, etc.
- Design and execution of company growth strategies (ideally internationally)
- Any exposure to the DIY Hardware market is an advantage – you understand the market and can interact with stakeholders credibly
- USA market experience is also an advantage, though not required
- You’re able to travel interstate and internationally as needed
