The Ideal Candidate

We are seeking a highly motivated Event Sales Manager who is passionate about hitting targets and driving the top line.
You must be confident and exude a strong, professional presence while being sales and numbers focused, doing all that you can to hit conversion rates whilst still maintaining The Ground’s passion around creating memorable experiences.

As a Manager of the Events Office team you will work closely alongside a range of stakeholders and manage a team of coordinators, overseeing customer journey all the way from enquiry to completion.

The ideal candidate would need to be fully immersed in The Ground's brand and culture, continuously looking for ways to improve the process and build relationships along the way.


The Role

Working as the leader for the Events team you will streamline, execute and oversee a range of day to day activities including the following responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • To ensure successful conversion of sales enquiries, working to given targets to activate and fill the venue’s spaces
  • Being creative and tailoring the sales process to ensure that budgets are achieved

  • To meet with clients and establish a relationship to build positive rapport and repeat business

  • Produce detailed proposals and contracts for each event ensuring we are catering to customer needs.

  • Manage the agreed client budget throughout the process and know when to ups-ell and promote additions where necessary

  • Successfully managing and being an ambassador to the Event Office team

  • Interpret briefs and execute them from concept through to completion

  • Effectively communicate with the Events Operations Team to ensure your initial sale is executed to the standard expected

  • Research all market sectors to identify opportunities to extend The Ground's events and prospective client database

  • To make sure The Ground’s event packages are updated regularly and structured correctly to meet the needs of the customers and the company

  • Liaise with internal and external marketing and PR colleagues to ensure activation throughout the year is in place.

  • Conduct a Post-event evaluation with client

Qualifications, Education & Experience

  • A strong hospitality background with people management experience

  • A minimum of 3 years experience in an Event Sales environment working towards targets and KPIs
