Australian Fluid Handling (AFH) is excited to offer a new position for a Technical Sales Engineer in it's WA/NT office. The business is a leading player in the supply of Engineered Pumps, Compressors and Engineered Skid Packages, as well as maintenance and after sales services.

Having experienced robust growth we are planning to further expand our operations in WA and are looking to recruit a strong Technical Sales Engineer to service existing Blue Chip and prospective new customers in the Oil & Gas, Chemical, Industrial and Mining/Mineral Processing sectors of Western Australia and the Northern Territory. As the business grows this role has the potential to evolve further.

Based in our office in Perth you will report directly to the State Manager as well as work closely with the Head office team in Melbourne. You will be responsible for external sales representation and business development for both sales of new equipment as well as after sales services, drive growth for the company in WA & NT and assist with certain aspects of project implementation and after sales services.

Job Description

  • In conjunction with the State Manager, plans, organizes, executes and coordinates the company’s business and related business development activities in WA/NT.
  • Locates and visits potential customers and provides technical consultation and sales activities with the aim to grow the order intake for the company and maximise customer satisfaction. All according to agreed KPI’s as laid out by the company.
  • Carries out trouble shooting repair and overhaul, maintenance and commissioning advice (at customer sites).
  • Reports in a timely manner activities and new projects in the key target markets in line with Company processes. 
  • Assists the State Manager in his business development activities and acts as 2IC as required.
  • The Sales Engineer shall provide input, insight, strategic direction and assistance to the Company in relation to any market developments where the individual can demonstrate a strategy that would be beneficial to the Company.

Position is a full time post located in Perth, Western Australia.

An attractive package in line with experience and qualifications will be made available to the right candidate.

We are looking for candidates with a strong mechanical background and solid experience in Sales & Service of engineered pumps, compressors and skid packages preferably in the Oil & Gas/Petrochemical, Chemical or Mineral Processing industry. A proven track record in the direct sales of capital goods is a must have for any candidate and hands on experience in the sales and servicing of rotating equipment such as pumps will be highly regarded.
