The opportunity: Head of Sales Cross Border (China Focus)

As Head of Sales Cross Border, you will have ownership of our eCommerce, cross border export and Daigou channel business including the management of distributors and responsible for the delivery of sales targets and expansion plans in line with the Evolution Health growth strategy. Key to your success will be strategic partnering with China's largest ecommerce platforms such as such Kaola.com, Tmall and JD.com. and others and the development of joint business sales and marketing plans. Working cross functionally with marketing and comms you will deliver initiatives for growth in both online and offline accounts, increase awareness of our brand in China and maximise sales potential particularly the key China calendar events. You will manage key relationships of both online and offline and identify new opportunities for sales growth and distribution. Reporting to the Global Sales Director this role will involve high level negotiation skills, the ability to set strategic objectives for expansion and growth including resource management and frequent travel to China. Fluency in Mandarin English is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee eCommerce strategies for China platforms such as Kaola.com, Tmall and JD.com for Evolution Health brands primarily Life-Space
  • Key account management of China platform accounts including developing and executing joint sales and marketing plans
  • Develop and oversee Daigou and gift store channel strategies for Evolution Health brands primarily Life-Space
  • Key account management of Daigou and gift stores including sales and marketing plans, merchandising, promotions and distribution
  • Build and maintain relationships within the Daigou community increasing the customer base and establishing educational programs
  • Build and maintain strong and collaborative relationships with existing and new China export distributors 
  • Manage the relationships of key distributors for the export and Daigou channel
  • Collaborate with marketing and accounts on key calendar promotions 11/11, 12/12 & CNY for both key ecommerce and Daigou Channel
  • Gain insights, analyse and provide market intelligence to key stakeholders and recommendations to respond to maximise sales growth
  • Partner with internal cross functional teams to build sales and marketing plans to achieve business outcomes
  • Monitor sales performance monthly providing business update to internal stakeholders with insights and recommendations
  • Develop a thorough understanding of key account including needs, requirements and strategic business plans
  • Provide accurate sales forecasting to achieve sales growth and targets

Skills and Experience needed:

  • Fluent in Mandarin and English
  • 2+yrs experience Account Manager Cross Border or E-commerce
  • 2+yrs experience in NAM in Pharmacy or FMCG
  • Tertiary Qualification, BA or equivalent experience
  • Proficient with MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data
  • Team Development and Leadership
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of Sales and marketing within the healthcare sector and Daigou and China markets
  • Understanding of the China eCommerce platforms
  • Understanding of the online consumer journey and how to gain sales
  • Experience in eCommerce activities and online marketing channels
  • Experience using web analytics to identify opportunities for growth
  • Knowledge and experience of eCommerce activities and online marketing channels
  • Knowledge of market trends and category insights in the probiotic category both domestically and cross border
