We have an exciting full-time opportunity for a Business Operations Manager in the NSW Route team. The role will manage 10 or more direct routes within inner and metro Sydney. The role is based at our sales center in Lidcombe. 

You will have complete ownership and responsibility of all Sales Operational related functions within the direct state sales team, in particular, vehicle & fleet management, staffing requirements, stock and route balancing. 

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Support daily and seasonal management of rosters and staffing requirements
  • Primary point of contact for external labor hire supplier
  • Calculate and submit weekly wages including permanent VSR commissions
  • Review and approve external labor hire timesheets and wages
  • Train and induct permanent and labour-hire Van Sales Representatives
  • Frequent  support of VSR Route Riding/Coaching 
  • Provide contingency cover for Van Sales Representatives as required
  • Ensure maintenance and updates of the handheld devices are maintained and communicated to internal stakeholders. 
  • Liaise with all internal departments & external contacts on matters impacting sales operations
  • Oversee & control call cycle & delivery frequency to ensure maximum efficiency and profitability 
  • Conduct seasonal territory mapping reviews  and present recommendations based on analysis
  • Ensure all OHS and safety-related concerns, including repairs, are resolved in a timely manner
  • Ensure all sales dockets and monies collected are reconciled and banked daily
  • Ensure availability and ordering of all OHS required safety tools

Required skills and experience:

  • Strong FMCG Route background with Operational Understanding and Route Sales experience
  • MR or higher license (or willingness to attain one ASAP. 
  • Clean driving history
  • Ability to pass a National Crime Check
  • Highly motivated and able to influence and persuade.
  • PC literate
  • Able to manage business units – profitability, costs, wages, budgets, etc.
  • Analytical skills
  • Cross-functional team player
