We now have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager- Mining, Solar & Landfill to join our national team, based at our office in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane.

This position will be responsible for developing sales of mining, solar and landfill solutions through management of the sales process and sales cycle.

Building relationships with all appropriate Australian mine and landfill operators, solar farm builders as well as local sales staff where complementary customer relationships exist, liaising with professional services group for delivery, commissioning and on-going service post sale and establishing a market leadership position will also be key requirements for this role.

The Role:

Reporting to the National Manager- Mining, Solar & Landfill, the Business Development Manager- Mining, Solar & Landfill the role will include the following responsibilities:

  • Developing and actively maintaining industry networks to leverage opportunities
  • Analysing new business opportunities
  • Contributing to setting annual sales budgets
  • Working directly with the mining sales and services teams to meet or exceed targets
  • Developing and actively engaging in client relationship building
  • Achieving or exceeding planned gross profit through management of discounting and quote packaging
  • Building customer awareness of Position Partners capabilities, products and support services
  • Exploring marketing opportunities and sales strategies within company guidelines
  • Undertaking on-going sales training on products and sales skills
  • Providing quotations as required by customers
  • Negotiating all aspects of a customer’s order within company policies
  • Providing excellent customer service and support via competent and timely technical and commercial advice.

The position requires a willingness, and the flexibility, to undertake travel throughout Queensland and NSW when required.

This role will suit someone with the following key attributes:

  • Demonstrated experience in, and knowledge of, Machine Guidance, Fleet Management and related systems
  • Exceptional sales and negotiation skills
  • An energetic, passionate and dedicated approach
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Strong organisational skills with a solution-based approach
  • Proactive attitude and methodology in carrying out tasks with strong attention to detail
  • Outstanding time management skills and the ability to multi-task
