Barben Architectural Hardware is a market leading manufacturer and wholesaler of high quality tapware, bathroom accessories, cabinet handles and entry door handles to the building industry. Based in Queensland this family owned company has been custom manufacturing and supplying architectural hardware to some of Australia's most recognised buildings for the past 28 years. Barben has a work hard, play hard culture which has proven to be successful and rewards staff with an enticing uncapped bonus scheme.

We are looking for a proven self motivated person to fill the position of the Victorian Business Development Manager. The successful applicant will work alone and will base themselves from our office/showroom including your own under cover car park in Collingwood. You will mainly cover the territory of the Melbourne CBD and surrounding suburbs.  The successful applicant must have a proven track record in:

  • Prospecting and following up sales leads using construction reports

  • Converting leads into sales

  • Time management

  • Promoting our products to Architects and Interior Designers and closing the deal with Builders on projects

  • Developing strong customer relationships with our customer base

  • Identifying new business opportunities

  • Working autonomously

  • Reporting to National Sales Manager

 

The ideal candidate for this autonomous position will need to possess:

 

 

  1. Self motivation- Hunter like skills

  2. Strong sales and customer focus

  3. Determination to win new business and be focused on achieving sales targets to receive financial gain

  4. Current relationships within the A&D Market a bonus but not essential

  5. Proven track record working autonomously

  6. Excellent communication skills

Included in this package is an outstanding base salary $85K-$95K (which will be negotiable depending on qualifications and experience), car allowance, superannuation, mobile phone, laptop, corporate credit card and uncapped bonus scheme to potentially earn another $10K-$40K P.A. You make the company more money and you will receive more money!  The candidate will be given product training and ongoing support and sales training. This is a sensational opportunity for a sales professional that wants to be part of a business with plenty of potential for growth and earn great money.
