Architectural Specification Representative

This company is a long established manufacturer of leading and respected brands in its field, part of a worldwide chemical manufacturing group.  They currently have an opportunity for an Architectural Specification & Technical Officer to develop the uptake of a new range of construction chemicals.
This role will involve you in using your current networks and establishing new relationships with Architects, Designers, Builders and end-users nationally, both in the public and private sectors, to promote products, complete tenders and win projects to drive sales. 
The role involves:

• Facilitate the specification of a new range of technical construction chemicals in commercial and public sector projects
• Provide detailed technical knowledge and support to architects, engineers and other targeted specifiers to develop new business
• Ensure all specifications are upheld and confidently specified within their documentation 
• Ensure all projects are followed through from identification, specification and supply
• Establish strategy to build relationships with suppliers, industry bodies and customers when necessary
• Undertake market research and analysis of key markets and competitors to identify opportunities for growth
• Reporting and planning on strategy, project tracking and budgeting

We would be interested in applications and enquiries from candidates with the following skills and experience:

• Tertiary qualification in Civil or Construction Engineering, or in Chemistry, OR a background in the cement industry and strong understanding of cement products and their applications
• The ability to deliver product demonstrations/specifications
• Strong influencing skills
• Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills
