About the role

We’re on the lookout for a Sales Manager with strong leadership experience, demonstrated commercial acumen and people management skills to grow Kleenheat’s residential LPG cylinder business. The position reports to the LPG Sales Operations Manager and can be performed from our Murdoch location or any of our regional branches. This role is responsible for all aspects of customer satisfaction, the safety and financial performance of WA residential and small business cylinder customers, through a network of company operated branches, commission agents and extensive network of cylinder resellers.

 Key responsibilities include:

  • Establish strategic customer growth plans for both the direct and indirect service channels
  • Manage the activities of the sales team in five company operated branches to ensure growth objectives for volume, margin, EBIT, ROC targets are developed and achieved.
  • Ensure successful negotiation of commercial terms & contracts with customers, through development of team capability and commercial negotiation strategies.
  • Profit and Loss accountability, corporate planning and budgeting responsibilities.
  • Champion and drive a culture where safety, health and the environment are priorities.
  • Build a high performance team environment with a strong level of engagement.
  • Innovation and process improvement in all aspects of the business.

  • A demonstrated track record of strong commercial acumen.
  • Sales or management experience is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrable experience in strategy planning, execution and delivering on budget.
  • Strong track record of results driven leadership.
  • Highly-developed interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to build strong relationships.
  • A strong personal commitment to customer service.
  • Problem-solving and negotiation skills.
  • A close attention to detail with the ability to plan and prioritise workload.
  • Gas Industry (or complimentary industry) experience is advantageous.
  • Tertiary qualifications relevant to the role preferred.
