The Role

The Head of Sales is a key member of the Trafalgar Australia leadership team, and will build on the success of the sales and distribution strategy for Trafalgar moving forward.

The role will manage the national sales team of 9 direct reports and in conjunction with the Managing Director will own and manage many of the key strategic trade relationships across the industry.

This role will also work closely with the marketing team to drive trade sales campaigns to complement our trade and consumer marketing activity.

Most importantly this role will provide support, direction, coaching, and engagement to ensure the national sales team are fully supported to execute the strategic sales plan at an agency and consortia level and to reach their own full potential.  

The Candidate

This role is suited to an ambitious and passionate leader who has strong strategic planning skills and is dedicated to leading a national sales team within a fast paced, goal orientated and sales driven environment. Therefore, the ideal candidates will have experience in:

  • Developing and executing strategic sales plans.
  • Public speaking and presenting to trade and consumers.
  • Proven track record in increasing sales and the customer service experience.
  • Travel industry sales experience.
  • Previous senior management experience, ideally in travel.
  • Experience in representing and promoting diverse travel brands.
  • Experience in recruiting and retaining valued teams.
  • Experience in managing a sales territory with a proven track record.
  • Regular interstate and overseas travel is required.
