Lotus People are delighted to be partnering with this dynamic, growing, global education provider to find a Director of Student Recruitment. This exciting, newly created role will give you an opportunity to make your mark and drive business growth.

The Company

This is a fantastic company to work for who are experiencing fast growth. They support a range of universities and colleges both in Australia and overseas to assist with international student recruitment. 

The Role

This is a newly created role that will see you driving onshore and offshore student recruitment through developing a deep and nuanced understanding of the products on offer and conveying them to a network of offshore channel partners. You will also manage a team of in-house student recruitment consultants. This role would suit an experienced sales manager with inside sales exposure, exceptional interpersonal skills and a track record of successful performance against targets. You will be interacting with up to 80 channel partners in 20 countries and will have the opportunity to travel domestically and internationally!

The Duties
  • Motivating offshore channel partners to recruit international students and managing the team of 5 internal onshore recruiters
  • Gaining a deep understanding of the brand and product
  • Building relationships with and training a network of offshore channel partners (student recruitment agents) via remote channels (Skype, Videoconference, phone and email)
  • Collaborating with the marketing team to ensure collateral and training material is up to date and relevant
The Ideal Candidate

This role will suit a genuine self-starter who is a natural relationship builder, motivator and influencer. You will be adept at understanding products and their benefits and conveying this information to salespeople in a compelling manner. You will have a track record of influencing others to sell and achieving targets. You will be excited by the prospect of a newly created role that you can make your own.

To be considered for this role, you will demonstrate:
  • A positive, high-energy and extroverted personality - you love meeting new people and are a natural influencer and negotiator
  • A proven track record of success in a student recruitment, inside sales or product sales role
  • Experience in or an interest in the higher education sector and international education
  • The willingness to go the extra mile to hit targets and drive business growth
Candidates with experience within higher education, for profit education or product sales experience within tourism, airline or service industries are strongly encouraged to apply.

The Benefits

This role will see you earning up to 20% of your base salary in annual bonuses. You will have the opportunity to make this role your own within a growing business at the forefront of international education. You will also have the opportunity to travel both domestically and internationally, to locations within Australia, India, China and Southeast Asia.
