Business Development Manager NSW
FREECHOICE currently has over 300 Stores and is the number 1 specialist tobacconist retailer in Australia. Our innovative Company is at the cutting edge for retail and vending in its field and is seeking applications from a very experienced Business Development Manager with a focus on sales in our vending division to drive compliance and procedures across the state.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Researching, identifying and building relationships with new clients
- Scheduling appointments, preparing and delivering proposals to new and prospective clients
- Managing key accounts and nurturing existing relationships
- Maintaining a CRM database – sales, prospecting activities, phone calls, emails, canvassing, etc.
- Producing weekly reports on sales, opportunities and pipelines
- Ability to engage and influence key decision makers
- Providing after sales support to our customer base
- Identifying external markets trends that may impact sales and or machine placements
- Lend some support to state vending administrators, ie end of day process, stocktake and cash reconciliations
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- Exceptional communication skills – verbal, written, listening and presentation, as well as interpersonal skills
- 5-6 years of senior sales experience
- Demonstrated ability to engage / influence business decision makers to secure long-term business
- Ability to build rapport with others and work well in a team environment
- Strong research and strategic analytical skills
- Strong sales background, specifically business to business sales at a corporate level (vending knowledge advantageous)
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Some understanding of legislation, relating to tobacco and related products
- Ability to work independently, must be a self-starter and multi-task oriented
- Advanced computer skills in Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint as a minimum
- Proven ability to achieve and exceed sales targets
- Provide an exceptional level of customer service to over-deliver on client expectations
