We are well positioned for growth and currently offer a great opportunity for a driven Business Development Manager to join the Qld CRT team.

About the role:

Reporting to the State Manager you will be responsible for driving sales growth in to CRT stores and Corporate Farms across Queensland. You will maintain strong relationships with the CRT members including a footprint of approximately 40 stores with a focus on coordinating store development, business plans, promotional campaigns, inventory protection, rebate management and member audits. This is a customer facing role with a key focus on selling the business’s value proposition and product sales strategies as well as managing the relationships, support and direction to our CRT members.

You will work with the relevant CRT members and suppliers to co-ordinate corporate farm business, including tenders, critical supplier information, including: pricing, new products and trends, short supply, inventory/ exchange protection details, pending price rises etc.

Keeping up to date with the market, you will be required to identify trends and sales strategies and work collaboratively with member stores and corporate farms to drive business outcomes. You will work collaboratively with the State and National teams to effectively communicate relevant supplier updates, commercial offers and profit opportunities to store management.

About You:

To be successful you must possess strong experience within a category sales role ideally gained from either the retail and/or supplier side of the agricultural industry, including specific knowledge in animal health, specialised fertiliser and general rural merchandise. You will have strong knowledge of sales process and rural retail best practice methodologies together with exceptional verbal and written communication skills. With strong analytical and reporting skills, you require an ability to analyse sales performance and make recommendations for improvements. You will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to foster solid long term relationships with customers and key internal stakeholders together with the ability to influence and drive outcomes in line with business strategies.
